How To Find And Remove Malware On A Windows Xp?

Hi, my Norton antivirus has scanned for malware, and nothing was found, but yet I was recently hacked in something. How can I manually search and destroy malware? I have a windows xp, I can provide further information if needed. I suspect I have no malware, everything works correctly, but I would like to be sure, how can I check?

Try using some of the free Malware utilities available.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.36 is free for trial and it will detect and expose any malware. You can then clean it yourself.

click start> run> type cmd without quotes then ,press KEY enter >wait, give it time> dir% system Drive%Autorun.inf/a If you see file Autorininf, there’s 80% chance that you have a trojan. That is IF.
